Sankarmission is a registered society in which monks and lay devotees co-operate in conducting various types of social service mainly in and around Nadia district of West Bengal. Fixing the way of “Atmano mokshartham jagad hitaya cha,-For one's own salvation, and for the welfare of the world" as their ideal and following the path of overall upliftment of mankind irrespective of their caste, creed, race and religion as shown by the Great Sannyasin Swami Vivekananda, Sankarmission runs following sub-centers.
Each of the sub-centers performs daily worship and prayers. Apart from this, the Krishnagar center runs following departments.
Spirituality is the cornerstone of Indian culture. Keeping it in mind and to strengthen the spiritual foundation of India, each center of the Mission performs daily pujas, prayers, aratrikam etc.
This centre was established for spiritual upliftment of the monastic members of the Mission. Daily worships and Aratrikam are performed at separate temples of Sri Sri Anadi Sankar Shiva ,Sri Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekanandaji and Sri Sri Radharaman Dev. Janmatithi Utsav (Birth anniversary ) of Sri Sri Radharaman Dev, the founder-member of the Mission is celebrated in each year. Apart from this, deity of Lord Shiva and Devi Maa are worshipped on occasion of Shivaratri and Dolpurnima.
This center located at Birpur village of Nadia district, was established for the upliftment of the poor and the downtrodden people of the area. Regular worship and prayer is performed at the center. A charitable dispensary is also run by the center.

Library plays an important role in spreading education. Sankarmission runs “ Acharya Bireswar Basu Library ” to help spreading education among common people and students ,as well. At present there are 2430 books in the library.

Apart from conventional allopathy system of treatment, there is also a homeopathy unit. This center has become famous due to effective treatment of Dr.Tanmay Bikash Sil Sharma and Dr. Arup Bhattacharya. Arround 16200 patients were treated During 2016-2017.
There is also an Eye Department under the health Center, Ophthalmologist Dr Dulal Saha treats eye patient on each Sunday. 6560 patients were treated in the year 2016-2017.
Apart from treating eye patients, Eye Department conducts cataract operation camps at regular interval. During 2016-2017 three (3) such camps were organised . Several poor people from different corners of Nadia and adjoining districts attended camps for cataract operation. Renowned eye surgeon Dr. I.Ahmed conducted the camps. Patients were admitted for three days and after successful operation spectacles were distributed among all the patients. 85 patients were operated upon and spectacles were distributed to them free of cost.
Apart from above stated activities , Sankarmission arranges food items as prasada for guests and regular visitors , who visits different centers of Sankarmission.
Mission also undertake relief work during natural disasters like flood, drought etc.
